TaskForce Agency plays an important role across communities in south east, whether helping individuals and families due to challenges with alcohol and other drugs or family violence, or enabling people through education, training, and employment. About the vacancy
The Youth & Family Outreach Clinician will provide non-judgmental support and outreach to young people and their families in an environment that is accessible, non-threatening and safe. The client group are young people aged 10-25 with complex support needs which may include; drug and alcohol use, ill mental health, school disengagement, criminal activity and family conflict. The Youth & Family Worker will provide intensive therapeutic case work to young people, including family work. The principle of harm minimisation is fundamental to the approach and aligns firmly with TaskForce model of care.
About you
You will have at least 3 years experience in provision of counselling or case management services to young people. You will have knowledge of harm minimisation, client-centred care and recovery-focused principles. Experience engaging and supporting families to meet the needs/goals of the young person is essential.
You will have a passion for working with youth and the ability to build strong rapport with your clients. You will be a proactive and engaging worker with a qualification in youth work, social work, psychology, or a relevant discipline.
