About the business
We treat children with Attention Deficits Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other developmental disorders. We are looking for motivated persons to train as Behaviour Therapy Assistant with or without previous experience. Training in effective evidence-based early intervention therapy for children with behavioural difficulties will be provided.
Successful applicants will need to be flexible in their work hours, and will work under the supervision of a Psychologist. Therapists will be expected to make a commitment to the families whose children they work with and be prepared to work in the child’s home environment.
The work is very rewarding, as the therapist gets to apply techniques that shape the behaviours of children.
About the role
A Psychologist in the clinic, develops treatment programs for children with developmental difficulties. The behavioural therapist is trained to administer these programs to help shape the behaviours of the children and facilitate their learning potential.

Skills and experience
Requirements from applicants:
- Have patience and ability to keep cool under stress.
- Be prepared to have an NDIS worker certificate (apply online)
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team with specialists and families.
The following would be an advantage:
- Previous experience doing ABA therapy.
- Previous experience working in childcare, kindergarten, and/or teaching.
- Background study in Psychology and/or Social Work.
- A passion for helping disadvantaged children.
