What you’ll be doing
The Integrated Violence Prevention & Response Service (IVPRS) is responsible for strategic leadership, clinical service provision and capacity building for the portfolio areas of sexual assault, domestic violence and child protection.
The Sexual Assault Referral Management and Early Support (RMES) counsellor is responsible for managing referrals to the sexual assault service and the provision of specialist early intervention services to adolescent and adult victims of sexual assault and their non-offending family members.

Essential Criteria:
Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling
Registration: Eligibility for appropriate professional registration or association membership
Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification (minimum bachelor’s degree) in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or Graduate Certificate in Human & Community Services (Interpersonal Trauma) and eligibility for appropriate professional registration or association membership
- Demonstrated experience in complex trauma and trauma informed practice, preferably within a Violence, Abuse & Neglect (e.g. sexual assault, child protection or domestic violence) or related setting
- Demonstrated assessment and case management skills with children, young people and adults
- Demonstrated understanding of the inter-related dynamics and effects of sexual assault, physical abuse and neglect and domestic violence and a commitment to integrated models for working with clients who have experienced trauma and abuse
- Demonstrated understanding of intergenerational trauma and the principles of cultural safety, with experience in (or commitment to) providing culturally responsive services to individuals and families
- Demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated capacity to work with in collaboration and partnership with a wide range of key internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge and understanding of the legal systems, legislation and policies & procedures relating to violence, abuse and neglect
- Current NSW Driver’s License
