About the business and the role
The Behavioural Neurotherapy Clinic is a private practice in Doncaster. We provide multidisciplinary assessments and intervention for children, adolescents and adults with a range of developmental and mental health issues. We also support families with children with ADHD and ASD.
The Position
- We are seeking a qualified Psychologist to work as a permanent full time or in an associateship position.
- New graduates welcomed to apply.
- Full administrative support provided.
- Provision of assessments and supervision of therapeutic behavioural services for children, with ADHD and ASD.
- Counselling of adults with mental health issues.
- Training will be provided to suitable applicant.
Renumeration package will be negotiated dependent on qualifications and experience.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Carry out assessment of children, adolescents and adults using standard assessment tools.
- Formulate and apply appropriate interventions.
- Manage a small team of Therapy Assistants.
- Report to the Principal psychologist.
- Maintain client records electronically on Smart-Ehealth
Skills and experience
- Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Eligible for Medicare rebates
- Working with Children Check and Current Police Check
- Experience working with children and adolescents desirable
- Applicants must have experience conducting cognitive and educational assessments, including WPPSI, WISC, WAIS, and WIAT, ADOS, ADIR etc. (clinic provides all these tools and training).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in the use of CBT and other evidence-based interventions with adults.
- An interest in the management of children and adolescents with developmental, behavioural, learning and emotional difficulties.
