Social Worker
Exciting opportunity for a Graduate Social Worker to join St. George Private Hospital in a Casual capacity.
About the Role
This role will suit a graduate social worker who is keen to develop their skills in hospital social work. This is a fast-paced environment with a focus on supportive and comprehensive discharge planning and team collaboration. It is an ideal learning environment where you will be supported by the social work and allied health teams to grow your risk-assessment and coordination skills. You will be supported by Multidisciplinary Team and Senior Social Worker and have an opportunity to develop your full range of professional skills and identity.
As the successful social worker, you will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of clinical care, work in partnership with Medical Officers and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide assessment and evidence-based treatment in a coordinated and timely manner, provide Social Work intervention to a wide variety of patients and their families inclusive of aged care, general medical and general surgical patients.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Social Work qualifications and eligibility for the AASW
- Health Social Work experience preferred
- Excellent psychosocial assessment skills (Highly developed social work assessment and counselling skills)
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities within scope of practice

Requirements
