About You
- You have demonstrated knowledge of, and sensitivity to, the mental health needs of young people (5-18 years) and their families.
- You have postgraduate experience working within a Child and Adolescent Mental Health service or Mental Health Service.
- Minimum Tertiary Bachelor Degree in any of the following: Psychology, Occupational Therapy with AHPRA registration or Social Work with AASW membership or Counselling or Community Welfare, with three years post graduate experience in mental health; OR Master’s Degree Clinical Psychology with endorsement to practice as a Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA OR Tertiary Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Inc. Div. 1 AHPRA registration) with relevant post grad qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of their post grad study.
What you’ll be doing
The service provides assertive outreach and intensive case management, specifically aimed at engaging young people aged 5 – 18 years experiencing moderate to severe mental health problems/disorders. You will be responsible for:
- Providing professional clinical services to young people and their families.
- Providing evidence based individual therapy with a recovery focus.
- Ensuring families and carers have input into assessments, care plans and reviews where appropriate.
- Liaising with relevant agencies and actively participate in case conferences and team meetings concerning the care of young people and support families.
- Consulting with team members and staff from other agencies regarding the care and management of clients.
