About the Bethesda Clinic
The Bethesda Clinic, opening in early 2023, will be the first private mental health clinic and service south of the river.
Based in Cockburn, this exciting new offering will be centred on a consumer partnership model, involving experts in their fields, to deliver multidisciplinary care. Architecturally designed, encompassing wellness themes throughout, this state-of-the-art facility will explore new holistic care models through innovation and digitisation.

About the role
The role of the Art therapist is to develop and provide art therapy/therapeutic arts services to consumers recovering from mental illness. The services will be provided in both the inpatient wards and the Wellness and Recovery Centre at Bethesda Clinic.
What do we require?
- Eligibility for registration with the Australian and New Zealand National Art Therapy Association as an Art Therapist
- Enthusiastic individual driven to provide the very best in mental health care, exceeding the expectations of consumers
- Demonstrated experience in planning, implementing and evaluation Art Therapy interventions and programs
- Contemporary experience in an inpatient mental health setting.
- Assessing and managing clinical risk as part of overall mental health assessment and management in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Knowledge of National Standards for Mental Health Service (NSMHS 2010) and National Safety Quality and Health Service Standards (2nd edition)
