Complex Behaviour Support Specialist Wesley Mission Queensland

JOB DESCRIPTION

About Us

About the Role

The Complex Behaviour Support Specialist is a new role designed to lead the development and implementation of a complex/positive behaviour support framework and specialist service for WMQ. The framework and service will support disability, aged care and community services.

In line with advice in contemporary research, the WMQ Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) model of service is to be developed to ensure specific populations/program areas are receiving evidence-based interventions, while holding integrity to the core PBS framework. A flexible and practical approach is needed to work in the context of limitations e.g. related to funding, staffing and environment, where these can’t be readily changed/adapted. The role is required to apply contemporary definitions as well as the evidence-base for PBS in a practical way to the WMQ service context.
