McArthur are seeking experienced Senior Complex Case Managers with expertise in working with challenging behaviours, to undertake a long-term temporary assignment with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs in their Coordinated Client Support branch.
The CCS branch provide high quality, veteran-centric, trauma informed case management to former ADF members who require ongoing support to maintain and enhance their mental health and wellbeing.
In the role you will:
- Provide clinically informed case management to veterans presenting with challenging behaviour and/or with complex needs
- Act as an escalation point for Case Managers assessing clients identified as presenting with challenging behaviours and/ or of being at risk of serious harm to themselves or others
- Undertake Complex Case reviews with Complex Case Managers across the branch, making recommendations for case management, escalation or closure
- Provide Reflective Practice Supervision to clinical and non-clinical Complex Case Managers
- Contribute to the achievement of staff wellbeing and high performance through active participation in team management, promotion of team building and self-care strategies
Successful applicants must have:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or a related health field
- At least 5 years’ experience working as a senior case manager, or equivalent senior role
- Extensive experience working within a mental health or community case management setting, including working with people who present with complex mental health conditions
- Experience in coordinating and assisting in the management of a caseload of complex and potentially at-risk clients in community mental health teams
