headspace provides support to young people aged 12-25 experiencing mild to moderate or emerging mental health issues. The multidisciplinary team at headspace Wollongong work to improve health, social, vocational and educational outcomes for young people.
Grand Pacific Health is the lead agency of headspace Wollongong. We are a not-for-profit, primary health care organisation providing locally-tailored, high quality physical and mental health services across NSW and the ACT.
About the position
The Mental Health Clinician works collaboratively with a young person and their family/carers to identify support needs, goals and develop collaborative care plans. They provide high quality psycho-social assessment and evidence-based, focused interventions. This position requires working closely with the other members of the headspace Wollongong team and external service providers and works to maximise care outcomes for young people referred to headspace Wollongong.
This position is part time, 3 days per week fixed term until 30 June 2023 with the possibility for extension.

What you’ll need
- AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist or Occupational Therapist (accredited in mental health), or accreditation with the AASW as a Mental Health Social Worker
- Experience in assessment and diagnosis of mental health disorders, and provision of Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy and other evidence-based focused psychological strategies.
- A passion and experience working with young people
