About the role
Use your significant personal ‘lived experience’ of caring/supporting a young person who has experienced an Eating Disorder and accessed a public Child and Youth Mental Health Service. You will be required to:
- Provide peer-based information and support to families/carers of a young person accessing Eastern Health ICYMHS.
- Support information sessions and groups for families/carers of the service.
Essential
- Direct personal experience as a carer of a young person, up to 26 years, who has experienced an eating disorder and received treatment within a public infant child and youth mental health service.
- Completion of Intentional Peer support (IPS) training, OR a willingness to complete.
- Demonstrated commitment to lived and living experience values and principles.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, with a high degree of initiative, time and task management skills and the ability to work both autonomously and with others. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
About you
