Waratah is a not-for-profit organisation that provides free specialised trauma-informed counselling and support for people who have experienced family and domestic violence and sexual assault/abuse. Waratah is located in the South West Region of Western Australia, with offices based in Bunbury, Busselton and Collie.

Waratah is expanding with new positions available to start in January 2023. All roles require a professional qualification in a relevant field such as Counselling, Social Work and/or Psychology.
Program Manager for Education and Community Services (Level 8 SACS) (0.8-1 FTE)
- Executive position providing leadership and supervision
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Bunbury based with ability to work from other locations as required
Intake Officer: (Level 5/6 SACS) (1 FTE)
- Assessment and intake of all referrals for adults and children
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience providing a similar role
- Bunbury based with ability to work from other locations as required
Three Counsellors Children’s Service (0.8 FTE and 0.6 FTE)
- Provides trauma informed counselling with children
- Provides psycho-social assessment for children and parents
- Salary commensurate with experience (SACS Award 4 or 5)
- 0.8 FTE based in Bunbury
- 0.6 FTE based in Busselton
- 0.6 FTE Temporary (Maternity leave) based in Bunbury (commences February 2023)
Three Counsellors Adult Service (0.8 FTE and 0.6 FTE)
- Provides trauma informed counselling with adults
- Provides psycho-social assessment for adults
- Salary commensurate with experience (SACS Award 4 or 5)
- 0.8 FTE based in Bunbury (2 roles)
- 0.6 FTE based in Busselton.
Required
To be considered for this position it is essential that you provide:
- WA Working with Children Check.
- National Police Certificate.
- Evidence of the “Right to Work” in Australia.
- Evidence of Qualification/s.
- Driver’s licence – C class
Remuneration
- SACS Award Level 4 to Level 8, depending on experience and qualifications
- 10% superannuation
- Salary Packaging of $15,900 tax-free
- 5 weeks annual leave
- Professional supervision from line manager as well as supervision from external professional supervisors
