Classification: As per award and experience
Hours per fortnight: 76 or as negotiated
Status: Max term until 26 April 2023. Possibility of further work if funding continues post this date.
Applications are sought from suitably qualified people to work in the Wellbeing and Primary Mental Health Flood Recovery Support Program at Echuca Regional Health.
Echuca Regional Health has received funding from Emergency Response Victoria to implement the Flood Recovery Support Program. There will be training available in supporting people impacted by a traumatic events and case management. The Program is funded for up to 10 FTE and is seeking suitable applicants to fulfill the role of:
- Flood Recovery Support Program- Team Leader
- Flood Recovery Support- Mental Health and Wellbeing Worker, and
- Flood Recovery Support Worker.
- The service is nonclinical in nature with staff being required to bring experience in service coordination, community linkages and/ or case management.
The Flood Recovery Program will work with people affected by the October 2022 Flood Event. The flood Recovery Support Program offers people affected by the Flood Event a Recovery Support Worker as a single point of contact to assist them in their recovery by:
- providing trauma informed service navigation
- information and advice
- referring to sources of support such as financial counselling and mental health support
- providing assistance with paperwork and applying for grants
- Position available to support service system linkeages for people with complex mental health presentations impacted by the Flood Event
Our team requires someone who has
- Qualifications and or experience in related discipline relevant to position applied for
- Proven experience in working with communities and understanding needs of community members
- High-level awareness of service system navigation
- Strong skills in supporting people in completion of practical tasks.
- Desire for learning about the impact of working with people who have experienced trauma
- Desire for understanding and learning about service linkeage and case coordination
This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and (where relevant) provision of a Working With Children Check and check on the Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme prior to appointment. In addition, this position requires evidence of vaccination status for COVID-19.
