Mindspot Psychology & EMDR is a boutique private practice located in Orange NSW. We are looking for warm and compassionate psychologists to join our team as either contractors or employees.

We really love our clients, and you will too. Our mission is to make clients and staff feel valued, nurtured and cared about. You will work alongside other health professionals within a compassionate and driven team who treat each other respectfully and believe in open and honest communication.

We are looking to add another gem to join our expanding team:

About the role:

  • The position is part-time 2 to 3 days a week, during school hours to suit your family commitments/lifestyle.

  • We are lucky to be able to offer varied and rewarding clinical caseloads. We tend to work primarily with clients ranging from 12 to 60 years
  • Our clients typically seek out our assistance in managing anxiety, depression, grief/loss, PTSD, complex trauma and attachment wounds.

We offer the following:

  • Supervision is included with principal psychologist Natalie Single, PsyBA board-approved supervisor for the 4+2 and 5+1  programs
  • You will have access to a database of assessment measures and template letters to assist in diagnosis, formulation and reporting to stakeholders eg. Medicare
  • You will receive $133-154.00 for each client session under the contractor model or a negotiated generous wage in an employee model.

Referrals:

The majority of referrals are from previous clients who recommend us to their networks. We have also developed excellent working relationships with our local private hospital, GPs, Employee Assistance Programs and other professionals. The majority of our clients are adults between the ages of 18 to 60 years old, however, also see some older children and adolescents from time to time. Some of our clients are first responders or veterans.

We allocate clients to our clinician’s preferred clinical presentations which they are passionate about or which energise them.

About you:

Now that you know a bit about us, we are looking for someone who is:

  • Warm, friendly and passionate and dedicated to providing excellent client care
  • Has a sense of humour and values authenticity and honesty
  • Enjoys providing evidence-based interventions to individuals
  • Great communication skills and ability to develop strong rapport quickly
  • Whilst not essential we would love it if you had some training in EMDR or are willing to train in EMDR
  • Excellent written and oral communication and time management skills
  • Working With Children Check (if you want to work with young people)
  • Registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist, or Provisional Psychologist
