About the Role:

  • Exciting new positions available as Psychology Clinical Educators
  • Become a member of a newly formed psychology education team
  • Lead the planning, development and implementation of supervision, training, education and professional development of psychologists at Monash Health
  • Ensure that psychology education programs are designed, implemented, and evaluated so the service capability of the psychology profession at Monash Health is enhanced and excellent patient care is provided.

About You

You are highly motivated and thrive on the challenge of supporting and developing staff and post-graduate students to perform at their best every day.  You have strong written and verbal communication skills, you are an active listener and possess well developed negotiation and influencing abilities that will be used in working with internal and external stakeholders.  

You are an experienced psychologist, energetic and determined in whatever role you have undertaken.  Your track record includes demonstrated success in the following areas:

  • Supervision of staff and students
  • Proven ability to develop and coordinate programs including education and training of staff and post-graduate students
  • Previous experience in administration, program development, continuous improvement, and quality initiatives

 What you will need:

  • General Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Appropriate post-graduate qualifications (Masters or Doctoral Degree) in psychology
  • Hold AHPRA endorsement in an area of practice. Endorsement in clinical psychology, forensic psychology or clinical neuropsychology psychology will be preferred.
  • Hold supervisor endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) for Registrar Supervision (primary and secondary) and Higher Degree supervision

Experience:

  • Minimum eight (8) years experience as a practising psychologist
  • Highly developed clinical leadership skills, and extensive postgraduate, professional experience
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop and deliver clinical education programs
