Mental Health Clinician 

Located in Busselton

Permanent Part Time 30 hrs per fortnight (4 days)

GP down south is a not-for-profit community organisation providing health and wellbeing services in the Peel regions and the Southwest of WA.   Across Peel and the Southwest, we provide Aboriginal Health & Wellbeing, Youth Medical Services and Programs, Outreach, Mobile Health and Chronic Disease Management.

This role is a maximum term contract until 30 June 2024 based on 30 hours a fortnight.  You will be working in a multi-disciplinary team of experienced mental health professionals with professional Clinical Manager support.

About the role: 

We are searching for a person who is passionate about empowering others to improve their mental health and wellbeing, is able to work autonomously, as well as working with and contributing towards our clinical team.    You will be responsible for:  

  • provision of clinical assessment 
  • evidence based psychological intervention therapies 
  • care co-ordination and support to clients experiencing mental health issues via face to face and / or telehealth.  

You must also hold a minimum qualification of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study, and a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the field of mental health post-graduation.   

As part of the pre-employment checks you will need to complete a Health Declaration and undergo a National Police Clearance (through GP down south systems).
