About The Role
This position delivers professional career counselling services to a variety of cohorts, including transitioning workers, career entry, CALD community, career breaks, job loss and workers looking to change career direction or progression.
This role will focus on providing confidential, professional and contemporary advice on sustainable industries, emerging careers and training linked to these opportunities on both a one-on-one basis and leading facilitated workshops.
The incumbent is a key and active participant of the Skills and Jobs Centre Team and provides expertise to the team on current recruitment and careers practice. The incumbent will also promote the values of Wodonga TAFE.
About You
Duties:
- Deliver specialist advice to internal and external stakeholders and supports team members on all matters relating to career development, career education and career guidance.
- Provide an individual career development service according to life-stages, skills and circumstances with the aim to enable individuals to manage their careers by knowing how to access and use career information independently.
- Work with clients requiring career counselling and high-level support for extensive career development.
- Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders in a dedicated region to add value to the career development services in providing their local clients with all relevant options to make informed career decisions.
- Undertake a range of reporting functions including qualitative feedback collection and collation to support reporting in relation to service delivery, outcomes and meeting KPI’s
Skills & Experience
- Graduate Certificate Career Development / or Cert IV Career Development with substantial career counselling experience
- Qualified and skilled in administering and interpreting career assessments
- Maintain professional development activities
- Desirable to have a Membership of a career professional organisation
