Your role:
The role calls for experienced practitioners to work as part of AV’s after hours program, responding to complex after hours matters supporting our 28 residential units, foster carers and any other person needing support.
The is an outreach role, providing hands on services to colleagues carers and our young people when additional support is required, such as in times of crisis, providing additional staffing support in our residential youth houses, supporting young people out of hours with transport, police or medical matters. You need to be able to make complex decisions, offer expert advice, problem solve and support staff and carers, putting your expertise to use in a hands on capacity.
This role is based out of Bendigo and will involve work supporting clients and colleagues in a number of different locations across the Bendigo Region.
About you
- Experience is key, you are making tough decisions and support programs during difficult times
- Previous experience working with young people of all ages
- Experience working with young people self harming, experiencing mental health issues or substance affected
- Calm and resilient
- The ability to work effectively with a team to achieve program goals and objectives
