About the role:
- Working with the region’s allocation queue.
- Review of intake assessments.
- Liaise with intake team and case officers for further details.
- Allocation of clients to appropriate clinical staff.
- Escalating and prioritising clients.
- Quality improvement duties to include coordination and participation in selection, orientation and resourcing of qualified and experienced clinicians.
- Ensuring referrals are actioned in the appropriate timeframe with written and administration documents.
- Applying quality assurance procedures to ensure all aspects of clinical practice.
- Provide crisis support and counselling to clients as and when required (phone or face to face).
About you:
- You will have current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA) or Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- You will have Working with Children (WWC) and/or Vulnerable People Checks/Clearance (Blue Card) ideally, or have it granted before commencing the role.
- Experience in a similar clinical role
- A passion for clinical psychology and social work to support mental health initiatives.
Benefits:
- ASAP start pending Federal Police Check
- Temporary assignment until 30th June 2024 with the potential for further extension
- Monday to Friday 7.5 hours per day, between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm
- Townsville location
- $55-65 per hour + super
