These are fixed term contract residential positions living and working in remote communities across Central Australia. We are conducting a national talent search and are offering generous relocation assistance and subsidised housing to the successful candidates as part of their package.

Our organisation, Community Consulting Australia are managing an exciting recruitment project for a new Youth, Sports and Recreation Program based across Central Australia. 

Our client delivers community services which respond to the needs and aspirations of their local communities in remote Central Australia. They have recently been awarded the contract to deliver Youth, Sports and Recreation services (YSR) across the remote communities of Yuendumu, Lajamanu, Willowra and Nyirripi and have existing community programs in place in Yuelamu, Laramba, Atitjere, Ti Tree and Engawala.

This YSR Program has created multiple fixed term contract employment opportunities including 4 x Team Leaders positions within the communities of Lajamanu, Nyirripi, Willowra and Yuendumu. 

As Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a local, service delivery team and engaging with the local community and stakeholders to develop place-based solutions in the successful delivery of Youth, Sports and recreation activities, along with developing strategies to achieve and deliver these goals.

You will lead from the front, display excellent communication skills and have extensive experience in the planning and delivery of community based program activities, managing rosters and staff training and development.

We are seeking expressions of interest from candidates with a broad range of experience, particularly with a youth and community services / development background, other areas of experience where there could be a potentially good fit include case management and social work. 

Applicants with Certificate IV or Diploma level qualifications, particularly within youth services, sport, training or community services and development will be held in high regard.

The personal qualities for these positions include social inclusion, relationship building, resilience, autonomy and compassion, you will have a collaborative approach to community based activities and have the ability to engage, listen, create and deliver a highly relational service to the local communities that you live and work in.
