  • Federation TAFE – SMB Campus
  • Full-time fixed-term appointment until August 2024
  • HEW 5 – $74,272 p.a. plus up to 17% superannuation

About the role

The Pathways Officer will engage with and provide support to individuals in need of assistance through Federation’s Pathway Programs, the Skills and Jobs Centre and the Reconnect Program

You will:

  • ensure Pathway Programs policies and procedures are followed at all times;
  • ensure administrative activities, reporting and documentation are completed accurately and in accordance with specified deadlines;
  • work collaboratively with the team and internal and external stakeholders in participating in open days; and
  • contribute to continuous quality improvement in relation to service delivery

About you

Working under the general direction of the Pathways Program Coordinator, the Pathways Officer is responsible for the effective delivery of daily program activities.

You will possess:

  • knowledge and understanding of breaking the cycle of disadvantage and the capacity to work within an Outreach model of service delivery;
  • experience in designing group activities and facilitating group work;
  • knowledge and understanding of the issues and challenges facing students completing studies and gaining employment; and
  • experience in applying a range of interventions including assessment, case work, care planning, group work, advocacy, crisis intervention.
