About the job…

We are seeking a full-time Practice Supervisor to join our caring, compassionate and friendly team in Townsville until 31 August 2024 with possibility for extension. Extension of employment contract beyond this date is subject to the continued successful government funding of the program.

This position is responsible for driving the therapeutic planning and interventions implemented by the Individual Support Packages team and external stakeholders providing holistic support packages to children & families.

Lead the therapeutic team to ensure case plan goals and interventions are aligned by:  

  • Determining the most appropriate assessments, frameworks and interventions required.
  • Completing discipline specific assessments, creating individualised plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions as part of a collaborative team.
  • Providing guidance, education, and regular debriefing to In-Home Therapy Assistants to outwork therapeutic goals in the home.  
  • Attending stakeholder meetings for the benefit of clients and develop case plans. 

About you…

  • Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline and professional registration if required (social work, human services, allied health, psychology, speech and language pathology or occupational therapy). 
  • At least 5 years’ experience leading a multidisciplinary team in a similar program and environment.
  • Highly developed knowledge of child protection issues and the child protection sector in Queensland.
  • Experience and capacity to foster good working relationships with key stakeholders and the community.
  • Highly developed communication, problem solving and teamwork skills.

About the pay…

  • Position is classified Level 6 under the SCHCADS award.
  • Salary range is $102,555 – $107,080 per annum plus superannuation.

Other requirements…

  • Eligibility for a positive Working with Children Check in the applicable state of employment in Australia or exemption based on professional qualifications and registration.
  • Current driver’s licence.
