About the role
You will report to the Senior Manager-Southern and Eastern Melbourne and work closely with a team of highly skilled clinicians to provide effective, high quality and culturally sensitive counselling and therapy. You will have expertise in childhood development and family dynamics using a child-focussed and inclusive practice. You will work systemically with families across our counselling programs, providing group and education programs to individuals, couples and families to respond to a diverse range of issues. These issues include relationship and parenting concerns, violence and abuse, stress and anxiety, separation and divorce, and blended families. Well-developed communication, technology, and case file management skills also form part of this role.
This opportunity is based at our Boronia Centre and is part-time, working three (3) days per week, with the expectation that one day per week will be an evening shift. This position is for a fixed-term period covering parental leave until November 2024.
About you
- Qualifications in family therapy, social work, counselling, psychology (or related).
- Previous full-time, supervised professional experience in relationship counselling and family violence.
- Demonstrated application of therapeutic modalities including the ability to accurately assess for family violence and to appropriately manage risk when working with individuals and couples.
- Understanding of and practical ability to apply relevant legislative regulations.
- Ability to develop/write succinct case notes including case conceptualisation.

The base salary range is $92k-$99k (pro-rata) per annum.
