Mental Health Clinician, iACT Monash Health

JOB DESCRIPTION

An exciting opportunity to join a thriving, engaged team of clinicians providing front-line of access, assessment and brief treatment to complex and acute young people in the South East. Exposure to a multidisciplinary team led by consultant psychiatrists partnering with some of the most experienced clinicians in the wider service, iACT is a highly supportive, collaborative, and hard-working team where clinicians can develop fundamental and advanced clinical skills rapidly.

About the Role

This position will suit an individual who enjoys working collaboratively with families to address their identified areas of concern. This is a fast paced team that thrives on multidisciplinary team involvement. We have full time & part time positions available on the team. The position is primarily based in Dandenong and the core business hours of this team are 8.30 -5.00pm. The position is an Allied Health Grade 2, Psychologist Grade 2, or Nurse Grade 3 level. (YB23, YB50, YC45, PK4, NP74)

About ELMHS

Early in Life Mental Health Services (ELMHS) provides assessment and treatment for infants, children, adolescents, young people and their families. We work with the 0-18 age in the Southern Region. We provide a comprehensive assessment service and a range of treatment options including inpatient treatment in times of crisis, community (outpatient) treatment, group programs, family therapy, and specialist services. The Intake, Assessment, Consultation and Brief Treatment Team (iACT) provides up to six sessions of initial assessment and treatment for referrals received by our service. We work with families in addressing a number of complex issues that families may be experiencing including school refusal, parent/child relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, trauma related issues, self-harm, suicidal thinking, eating disorders, and psychosis.
