About the Position

You will provide engagement, assessment, clinical case management & treatment for young people aged 12-25 years accessing headspace Darwin, specifically young people experiencing symptoms of psychosis & co-occurring mental health difficulties.

You will work with the headspace team to deliver youth friendly, family inclusive, culturally appropriate services. The role will provide professional and effective therapeutic interventions and support services to young people and their families according to best practice standards.

The position will provide clear referral pathways for young people to access internal and external services and maintain current data standards and clinical records in a timely and professional manner. The Clinician will support the work of other teams as necessary and conduct intakes and deliver community awareness, information sessions and group work as required. The Clinician will participate in clinical supervision and consultation and will work well in a multidisciplinary team.

The minimum qualification required is an approved tertiary qualification and minimum 1-year experience in a health-related discipline and registration with the relevant regulatory body such as AHPRA or membership of and adherence to professional standards, for example AASW for social workers.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess a Working with Children (Ochre Card), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a current NT manual driver’s licence.

Experience of working closely with and having a strong understanding of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander culture would be considered an advantage.
