About Us

https://menora.org.au

Menora Foundation is a Perth based community organisation, established in 2007 which for some years has incorporated the services previously offered by Jewish Care whose functions were then absorbed into the work of the Menora Foundation. It is governed by a small voluntary board and currently has 4 employees.

Our primary purpose is to respond to those in need in the Jewish Community.  We offer a range of services to families and individuals including children, young people and seniors experiencing financial, accommodation, relationship, mental health, and other complex personal issues. These services are also offered to the wider community when we have the capacity to do so.

We work to respond to the immediate needs of those seeking our help and, wherever possible, continue our support to the clients on their path to self-sufficiency.

A significant proportion of the revenue to support these services is generated through our ‘op shop’, marketed under the name ‘Woodrow Lane’. We have a very strong volunteer base who are critical to the services of Menora. They help run the warehouse from which Woodrow Lane operates and provide a wide range of other community services within the Jewish community.

Our other revenue comes from philanthropic contributions made by our many generous donors.

The Menora Foundation (MF) is seeking a suitably experienced Social Worker to join us to work with our Board, our small team of professionals and our volunteers who are all committed to improving the life experiences of a diverse range of community members.
