Social Worker CHG

JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker who has a keen interest in varied organisational social work services.  The primary responsibility of this role is the assessment and treatment of patients with a range of conditions or concerns who have been referred to us via their workplace Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

We are looking for a minimum of three days per week, but have an existing client list to fill a full time diary!  This role will be split across two of our three locations; [email protected] and [email protected]

Due to the nature of our business you may also be involved in counselling following traumatic workplace events (as also referred through workplace EAP programs), Critical Incident Response (CIR) services, onsite EAP services, return to work services as well as the development and delivery of training and education programs. 

With notice, some after hours work may be required to meet the needs of our clients. 

CHG has a broad range of professionals and also offer services in our Gymnasium with equipment suitable for pilates, hydrotherapy and we have a BTE for functional assessments.  These complimentary services will ensure you are able to deliver exceptional services to workers focussing and mental and physical health.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will be reliable and flexible with the ability to work at any of our locations (Mile End, Gillman or Elizabeth) and on site as required (own vehicle and licence is essential).  The role would ideally suit a dynamic and self-motivated individual with strong organisational skills and an interest in clinical workplace psychology services.

You will be able to demonstrate membership, or the ability to gain it, with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and successfully undertake various Police Checks as is required by our clients.  Furthermore, due to the nature of our contracts a minimum of five years work experience as a Social Worker is a requirement for consideration. 

For the right applicant, an opportunity exists to work with Clients providing general recommendations regarding wellness improvements to their workplace as well as the delivery of training.
