Professional 2, Remuneration Package Range $100,943 – $120,736 (including salary $86,204 – $103,377)
Professional 3, Remuneration Package Range $124,413 – $139,147 (including salary $106,568 – $119,351)
Selection will be made at the P2 or P3 level depending on the experience and / or qualifications of the successful applicant.

About the team:

Work in a multidisciplinary team supporting schools in regional networks to implement best practice wellbeing and inclusion approaches to improve learning outcomes for students with diverse needs.

About the role:

The Behaviour Advisor implements regional support for school improvement through the delivery of requested services that improve the wellbeing and safety of children and students.

This position uses knowledge of wellbeing, safety and behaviour approaches to provide advice, coaching, mentoring and professional development to school leaders, teachers and support staff.

This position will carry a caseload of children and students referred by school leaders and will work with colleagues from within a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective plans are developed and strategies are implemented to ensure optimum engagement with education.

To be successful you will need to have a tertiary qualification in education, social work, psychology, speech pathology or occupational therapy and registration with the relevant professional association or ability to obtain.

Office-based conditions apply to this position. The applicant must hold or be able to obtain a Working with Children Notice Clearance and an NT driver’s licence. Visits to remote schools may necessitate travel by four-wheel drive vehicle on unsealed roads or light aircraft and include overnight stays in remote communities of up to four days. Four-wheel drive training will be provided by the NT Department of Education.
