OUR OPPORTUNITY

The Men?s Practitioners team engage men who use family violence and connects them with services that they need. Practitioners work to invite men to take responsibility for their use of violence and the impact of their violence on those around them. Engagement takes place in a variety of settings including phone calls, face to face meetings and home visits (if assessed as safe and appropriate). This role is critical in keeping victim/survivors and their children safe.
This role is an intake and assessment position, not a case management position. Please refer to the position description for more information about this opportunity.

 

ABOUT YOU

This role would suit someone with at least 2-3 years? experience in the family violence sector who either has experience working with men who use violence or is looking to specialise in this area using their existing family violence skillset.
In addition to relevant experience you will bring:

  • An unwavering dedication to supporting the safety of women and children
  • A high level of organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A passion for intake and assessment
  • A desire to support your team and develop your skills with complex cases

QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum Bachelor level qualification in Social Work or recent employment in the family violence sector or equivalency met through the 7 Equivalency Principles in line with the minimum mandatory qualification requirements.
