Professional 1, Remuneration Package Range $76,112 – $98,057 (including salary $64,904 – $83,700)
Professional 2, Remuneration Package Range $100,943 – $120,736 (including salary $86,204 – $103,377)
Selection will be made at the P1 or P2 level depending on the experience and / or qualifications of the successful applicant.

Work in a multidisciplinary team supporting schools in regional networks to implement best practice wellbeing and inclusion approaches to improve learning outcomes for students with diverse needs.

About the role:

The School Counsellor is an essential position providing professional expertise and evidence-based practices to build the capacity and understanding of student wellbeing and safety. This is a front-line position supporting and assessing vulnerable young people and schools to improve the wellbeing and safety of students.

To be successful you will need a degree in social work and eligibility as a social worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), OR, a degree in psychology and registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Corporate-based conditions apply to this position. The applicant must hold or be able to obtain a Working with Children Notice Clearance and an NT driver’s licence. Visits to remote schools may necessitate travel by four wheel drive vehicle on unsealed roads or light aircraft and include overnight stays in remote communities of up to four days. Four wheel drive training will be provided by the NT Department of Education.
