Through research and the provision of preventative evidence-based treatment, the Kidman Centre UTS is dedicated to reducing the prevalence of mental health problems in young people aged 5 to 25.

We are at the beginning of an exciting expansion plan, with the objective of broadening the impact and reach of our work in the community.

To help us to do this, we are seeking an experienced psychologist/school counsellor to develop and implement mental health talks and workshops for young people, caregivers and school staff.

We want you to bring to the role:

• Ability to offer occasional after hours training workshops

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing mental health seminars and workshops, at the centre or in schools to young people, caregivers and school staff.

• Facilitating training for school staff in regional NSW, involving 8 daytrips to regional NSW annually.

• Supporting the maintenance and improvement of quality and academic standards within the unit.
•  Evaluating programs delivered within this role.

With examples, please outline in a separate document how you meet the following five (5) key selection criteria points below:

1. A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience (preferably more) in delivering evidence-based individual therapy for children and adolescents. Please note this is not a registrar position.

2. Experience in delivering mental health talks and workshops (particularly with school staff).
3. Excellent presentation and written skills
4. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team including the ability to respond to changing circumstance. 
5. Accreditation in psychology from an APAC accredited university and endorsement as a psychologist.

Remuneration

Base Salary Range: $110,790 to $126,178 pa (HEW 8) (pro-rated)

This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is part-time (3 days per week) and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis of 3 years.
