💰 $94,160 – $98,422 pro rata + super + salary packaging

👉🏼 The need-to-know…

In this newly created role, you will work alongside the Senior Coordinator to support the delivery of Rise’s family domestic violence services including Kira House. Kira House is the only Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) unit providing support and care to young people aged between 14 and 18 years old and their children. Based in the Midland area, Kira House has been operating since 2012 and is a key part of Rise Youth services.

A typical day may look like….

  • Reviewing, developing, implementing, and monitoring services within the programs alongside the Senior Coordinator
  • Developing and maintaining practice guidelines and resources
  • Working with learning and development to develop learning resources
  • Contributing to the development, establishment and maintenance of the program plans, procedures, and work processes
  • Providing practical support to young woman and their children accessing Rise FDV services including intake, assessment, case plan development, advocacy, education, and referral.
  • Leading the development and delivery of life skills workshops for young woman
  • Supporting the Senior Coordinator with staff management including conducting inductions, providing mentoring, and assisting the monitoring/managing of staff performance
  • Program administration including maintaining documentation and participating in the on-call provision for Kira House.

This position will be based in the Middle Swan area and is permanent, part-time working 38 hours per fortnight – flexibility on hours and days (between Monday – Friday) to be discussed.

👉🏼 The need-to-have…

  • Degree in Human Services/Youth Work/similar discipline and/or extensive experience in a related role with knowledge of issues impacting young people experiencing or at risk of FDV
  • Ability to articulate and apply a practice framework focused on engagement, assessment and support of young women who have experienced FDV
  • Extensive experience working in a reflective, trauma informed and person-centred way
  • Ability to work effectively with people from backgrounds such as: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, culturally diverse and the LGBTIQA+ community
  • ‘Providing first aid’ certificate or willingness to obtain prior to joining
  • Valid ‘C class’ driving licence
  • Accredited suicide assist certificate and medication competency (desirable)

Appointments to this position will be subject to a National Police Clearance, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check. Costs for new checks will be covered and/or reimbursed by Rise.
