Oolong House was established in 1989 as a Residential Treatment Service for both Indigenous and Non-Indigenous men.
Oolong is one of approximately 23 services in NSW that provide a 24 hour residential rehabilitation service and just one of six which are Aboriginal Community Controlled
About the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with a caseload of up to 21 residents at any time
- Follow up residents needs and requests
- Support residents through 16 week program
- Notify residents of the outcome of their request throughout the program
- Conduct and notify residents of their leaves and visit requests
- Conduct treatment plans with residents upon arrival
- Liaise with external agencies such as Probation and Parole, NSW Police Service, Solicitors ETC
- Participate in random room searches
- Complete case notes accurately and in a timely manner

Skills and experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in a team

- Ability to implement and encourage others to implement all organisational Policies & Procedures
- Previous experience managing needs of complex clients
- Previous experience working with people with problems related to Alcohol and Other Drugs and Mental Illness
- Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs or willingness to obtain
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
