Behaviour Support Practitioner – Early Intervention Sunny Steps Psychology and Supervision

JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you want to do more?  An opportunity to really help people and not be stuck behind a desk all day typing behaviour plans all day?   Do you want to support families to deliver the best support to children as well as   work directly with children and participants on skill development ? 

We are looking for someone that has a passion to support children and people with disabilities live their best lives, and achieve best practice.

This is an exciting role where you can really work directly with children and adult participants.  The position includes conducting assessments,  designing and implementing treatment programs, working 1:1 with clients and stakeholders, supporting families and care teams and completing written reports including functional behaviour assessments and behaviour plans 

We are a mid size but very busy private practice –  This position suits someone who  has  previous sound experience in working with children delivering skill based programs, or experience in implementation within behaviour support or early childhood.   

This role is about people !  So we are looking for team players, with good communication skills, who no longer are happy sitting behind a desk typing behaviour plans that never get implemented.  We are looking for people who want to work 1:1 with the clients.  

So if you are a BCBA, BCaba, RBT, Special education teacher or early childhood teacher with a love of helping children thrive —we want to hear from you ! 

In addition to the above, to be eligible for the role you must have

  • A drivers licence
  • Have a WWCC, and NDIS worker screening (or willingness to obtain)
  • Covid 19 Vaccinations
  • Relevant experience in a similar role; demonstrated transferable skills
  • Sound computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills including written communication skills
