Job Description

Are you passionate about helping young people and their families? headspace Lilydale is seeking an Intake & Brief Intervention Clinician, with a family therapy portfolio to join our dedicated team. As the first point of contact for young people, you will play a crucial role in engaging, screening, and providing effective brief interventions and single session therapy for young people (12-25 years), their families and carers.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (such as youth work, counselling, psychology, social work, or occupational therapy) as well as professional registration with a governing body (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in intake and risk assessments with young people
  • Knowledge of developmental stages relevant to adolescents
  • Experience in evidence-informed practices such as brief intervention and single session therapy

Experience in family support and providing evidence-based parenting and family interventions is also highly desirable.

Who you’ll be working with  
The Intake and Brief Intervention Worker position will be primarily based at the Lilydale headspace centre but will work also work with the headspace Knox Team (at the main site). Our team is an energetic & supportive Intake team, and we work together with the broader headspace team who are dedicated to giving clients the best possible support possible.
