Youth Care Coordinator – headspace Dubbo Marathon Health

We are looking for a Youth Care Coordinator to join our team in Dubbo, NSW. The vacancy is Full Time, 75 hours per fortnight, and will be ongoing.

The Youth Care Coordinator role:

  • Conducts psychosocial assessments and screening of young people referred to headspace
  • Engages with headspace clients to ensure ongoing service engagement
  • Collaborates within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the ongoing success of the centre 
  • Advocates on behalf of young people whose care needs are being coordinated by headspace
  • Assists with community capacity building, community awareness, and education and training activities

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Qualifications in psychology; social work; occupational therapy; nursing; drug and alcohol work; youth work; mental health, or related field
  • Proven ability to undertake clinical assessments of young people experiencing mental health or drug and alcohol problems
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with young people
  • Good working knowledge of computer technology and experience using clinical software packages
