What We Do
Women’s Legal Service Tasmania works alongside women to improve their lives, working in a trauma-informed, integrated way that meets their legal, social and financial needs.
Our decisions, behaviour and activities are guided by integrity and compassion, and we use our influence to challenge injustice and inequity in order to make a positive difference for today, as well as for future generations of women.
You can help us.
We’ve received additional funding for a period of two years to add another experienced Financial Counsellor to our team. This position will provide financial counselling and referral options to clients, and provide financial literacy education and support to community groups in rural and remote areas of Tasmania.
If you hold a qualification in Financial Counselling and have at least two years experience, or if you have a qualification and two years experience in social work or community services and a desire to undertake further training in this area, we invite you to apply.
In return, we provide a flexible workplace with additional over award benefits like additional annual leave, paid parental leave, and the opportunity for salary packaging, as well as exceptional health and wellbeing support and access to dedicated professional development opportunities.
Our positions are advertised as full-time, however we are open to negotiating with our successful applicants based on their availability, as we recognise that women with diverse responsibilities require flexibility in the workplace.
