About the job…
We are seeking a Full Time Program Coordinator to join our caring and friendly team in Maryborough until 28 June 2024 with possibility for extension. Extension of employment contract beyond this date is subject to the continued successful government funding of the program.
In this role you will manage the Family and Child Connect service which:
- Provides support for vulnerable families, community members and professionals seeking assistance for children, young people and families where there are concerns about their wellbeing that do not require a report to Child Safety.
- Provides active engagement and referral for support to vulnerable families.
- Leads a Local Level Alliance of services to ensure collaborative planning, integrated responses and timely responses to vulnerable children, young people and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team to deliver high quality outcomes within a performance planning and development culture.
- Manage intake, referral, and engagement processes to meet output and outcome requirements.
- Conduct case consultations with team members.
- Collaborate with the Regional Intake Service, regional Child Safety staff, and other Family and Child Connect services.
About you…
- A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (Allied Health, Social Work, Human Services) and professional registration (if required).
- At least five (5) years’ experience managing a multidisciplinary team in a similar environment.
- Highly developed knowledge of child protection issues and the child protection sector in Queensland.
- Experience and capacity to foster and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders and the community.
- Cultural awareness and an understanding of how to communicate and work effectively with families from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- An ability to lead and build a strong, cohesive team in alignment with Act for Kids’ values.

About the pay…
- Position is classified Level 7 under the SCHADS award.
- Salary range is $110,913 – $115,538 per annum plus superannuation.
