Qualifications & experience
- Nationally Recognised Qualification(s) in Psychology, Human Services, Social Science
- A professional qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Occupational Therapy
- Psychologists and Occupational Therapists must be registered with AHPRA
- Social workers must be members of the AASW and certified to meet the mental health standards
- Occupational Therapists must also demonstrate two years’ experience in mental health. Preferred
- Professional Membership(s): AHPRA or AASW or ACA
- Demonstrated experience in counselling
- Experience in planning, facilitation, and evaluation of group work
- Employees must hold an unrestricted QLD C Class Drivers Licence
- QLD Working with Children Blue Card and Disability Worker Screening Clearance Card
Tasks & responsibilities
- Intake and assessment of individuals and families seeking psychological services
- Provision of evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples and/or families
- Provision of centre-based and outreach counselling interventions
- Provision of Psychosocial recovery coaching (depending on referral-base)
- Participation in the development and facilitation of groups
- Provision of secondary consultation to health professionals internal and external to the organisation
- Participation in team, program, and organisational accountability mechanisms, attending relevant meetings as directed by the key delegates, and completing statistical requirements
- Liaise with relevant health and community services
- Other duties as directed by your Team Leader or Coordinator
