MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN

THE ROLE

Salary: $90,000 – $100,000 + depending on experience + Super + Salary Packaging

Location: Hastings, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. Flexible and hybrid working available

Hours: Full Time or Part Time Available

Working for a not-for-profit organisation and as a crucial member of the mental health team, you will be working with young people aged 12-25 who are facing complex mental health or social health challenges. Your role will involve providing them with community-driven support for up to 12 months. Flexible service delivery options include telehealth and outreach services (at schools, homes, and within the community) or in-reach too.

In this position, you will be responsible for engaging, assessing, and delivering evidence-based interventions within a youth-oriented context. Additionally, you will be involved in formulating recovery plans, handling referrals, maintaining an active caseload, extending support to parents and families, and presenting client cases in clinical review meetings and supervision sessions.

To thrive in this role, you should possess substantial experience in working with youth and families, a profound understanding of the mental health treatment sector, and a genuine interest in assisting young individuals who face significant disengagement from social activities, education, and employment.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Bachelor Degree in either Social Work or Psychology
• Eligibility for registration with AASW, or registration with AHPRA
• Working With Children’s Check or willingness to obtain one
• National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
• Driver’s Licence
