JOB DESCRIPTION

Women’s Community Shelters are dedicated to supporting and empowering women to take control and move on with their lives. Our clients are supported with client-centric case management and are encouraged to pursue opportunities to study and find financial security.

We are looking for an experienced permanent full-time Case Manager to join our domestic violence program located in the Bayside LGA. We are seeking someone who is responsive and flexible with a genuine desire to enhance service delivery and outcomes.

An understanding of the homelessness sector, awareness around current issues and practice in domestic violence and good knowledge of referral pathways are key skills for this role.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Demonstrated and minimum 2 years experience within the community services sector in a Case Manager capacity, preferably women’s or children’s support service or a crisis residential setting
  • Willingness to assist with donations and other practical tasks that exist within a residential service environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of trauma informed, strengths based and client-centric practice
  • Ability to think innovatively and creatively to develop tailored client solutions with a focus on capacity building and empowerment
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time and resources effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of CIMS or other online case management systems
  • Intermediate computer skills including Office 365, SharePoint and Teams
  • Current first aid certificate or capacity to acquire one before commencement
  • Current NSW Drivers License
  • Working with Children and Police checks
  • Vaccinated against Covid19
  • The right to live and work in Australia
