The role you could play
In this role you would provide support and advocacy to women and children, who have recently left refuge accommodation to assist them to re-establish their safety and independence in the community.

Your key responsibilities

  • Effective relationships are established with clients that encourage self-determination and participation
  • Case management support is provided to clients in accordance with TSA case management models and standards of practice
  • Works under the general direction of the Team Leaders, Specialists and the Program Manager and adheres to established work practices whilst exercising initiative and judgement where practices and direction are not clearly defined
  • Ongoing assessment is made of the client’s issues, needs and circumstances from initial intake to exit

This is a permanent full-time position, located in Karratha, WA. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Level 5 Award.

The ideal candidate would have

  • Qualification in social work, welfare, community services or related field OR demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous appointments, service, and study/development
  • Relevant experience in the family violence sector
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, safety planning, and developing case plans
  • Experience in case management and overseeing outreach support services
  • Well-developed liaison and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with relevant agencies in the service sector and individuals who have been impacted by trauma
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively dealing with the impact of trauma
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft suit, and utilising Outlook, Excel, Word, and specialised client management record systems
  • WA Working with Children Check is required
  • Ability and willingness to be on call and work outside normal business hours, as required
  • A C Class Drivers Licence
  • Possess current Apply First Aid qualification
