APS Counsellor Randstad – Healthcare

JOB DESCRIPTION

A fantastic new opportunity has become available for a suitably qualified mental health professional working with a prominent federal government agency. Based in Wodonga, this key counselling role involves casework with veterans, ADF personnel and their families. The role provides high quality clinical services including evidence based individual, couple and family counselling, and case management. You will play a key role in making a substantial difference in the lives of veterans and their families.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

Overall this role provides counselling to improve resilience, enhance mental health and wellbeing to ADF personnel and their families. With the client’s wellbeing, at the forefront of your thinking, you will:

  • Provide high quality clinical services including assessment and referral, evidence based individual, couple and family counselling
  • Deliver complex case management services
  • Faciliate the delivery of counselling and programs to veterans, ADF personell and their familiies
  • Liaise and form partnerships with key external stakeholders
  • Promote community development and services

ABOUT YOU:

  • Preference is for mental health professionals including Clinical Psychologists, Psychologists, Mental Health Registered Nurse with a AHPRA registration OR Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with AASW membership
  • Valid Working with Children check & Vulnerable peoples check
  • Minimum of 2 years experience within the counselling and clinical case management space
  • Defence and Veterans Affairs knowledge (distinct advantage)

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

  • Weekly pay at $55- $65 per hour + Super
  • Supportive team environment with opportunities for contract extension and career progression
  • Opportunity to see and create real change within your community
  • 12 week contract, with likelihood of extension up to 36 months
