About the role
Bunbury CSRU is a 15-bed residential mental health service located in the idyllic South West region. Its recovery focused program supports consumers experiencing mental distress to embark on their recovery journey in a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. Richmond Wellbeing recognises that consumers are experts in their own experience and walks alongside individuals in their journey.
We are currently seeking a passionate, and dedicated Recovery Worker to join the Bunbury CSRU Team. The Recovery Worker will be responsible for developing individualised recovery plans with residents, facilitating regular recovery-based groups and 1:1 keywork sessions.
Other responsibilities include;

Work alongside residents to identify individualised recovery goals, and develop an individualised Recovery Support Plan, which is reviewed on a regular basis.

Provide 1:1 Key Work and work alongside residents to support the achievement of their personal recovery goals.

Provide psychosocial support to residents within the residential service.

Facilitate regular recovery-based support groups.

Support people to navigate mental distress and develop coping strategies.

Include Family members, carers, and people of significance to the person as identified and directed by the individual.

Actively participate in required internal meetings, supervision sessions/practice reflection sessions and training.

Assist Recovery Support Workers with the implementation of actions towards goals as identified on the consumer’s Recovery Plan.

Be an active member of the team, focused on continuous quality improvement of service delivery
This position is full time position, offering 75 hours per fortnight.
About you
To be considered for this role, you will possess;

Minimum Diploma or University qualification in health or relevant human service discipline.

Experience in working in mental health or community residential services setting.

Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders, particularly clinical supports, to promote total wellbeing and holistic health services.

Experience in facilitating therapeutic groups.

Trauma informed practice skills, an understanding of the impact of trauma and the ability to respond in a compassionate manner.

Ability to facilitate emotional and personal recovery.

Ability to hold hope for recovery.

Positive attitude towards people experiencing mental distress.

Lived experience of mental health recovery or as family members of people with a lived experience of recovery is desirable.

A strong growth mindset with a high commitment to continuous quality improvement

An ability to participate in reflective and reflexive practice.

Strong commitment to working within an environment that respects diversity

A current National Police Clearance (no older than 6 months)

A valid First Aid certificate

A current driver’s license
