School of Health – Counselling

  • Continuing, full-time
  • $104,596 to $123,964 (Level B)
  • Plus 17% employer superannuation
  • Remote working with availability to attend Armidale campus 2 weeks per trimester for intensive teaching period
  • Salary packaging options are available
  • 4 weeks annual leave plus Christmas week shutdown, per annum
  • Applicants must have permanent full-time work rights (UNE will not provide sponsorship for this position)

About the Role

As a Teaching Focused Academic you will contribute to the innovation of learning, teaching and assessment, and lead in the design and delivery of education at the University within the context of the Future Fit strategic plan. You are expected to make a significant contribution to teaching practice within your department, school or faculty, and will be showing appropriate levels of leadership in the scholarship of learning and teaching, educational design and delivery. The UNE academic development, career and promotion frameworks will support your success in this position.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a commitment to student-centred forms of learning that support the Counselling team, delivering tutoring and lecturing of students in undergraduate and postgraduate counselling units using an interdisciplinary teaching pedagogy.

 

About the School

The School of Health within the Medicine and Health Faculty offers undergraduate programs, as well as postgraduate coursework and research programs in Nursing, Community Services, Social Work, Counselling, Mental Health and Health Management. The School has full time and part time/casual academic staff, as well as casual facilitator staff that are involved in regional, state, national health and private organisations.
