We are looking for culturally safe and trauma informed youth, adult and family counsellors, youth workers and community empowerment workers.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum of a Certificate III or Diploma in counselling, youth work Community Service, case management or similar field.
- Demonstrate experience in providing culturally appropriate and trauma-informed yarning; maintain cultural safety, confidentiality, and respect for self-determination.
- Demonstrate ability to liaise with appropriate support services and programs relevant to client’s healing journey.
- Commitment to on-going professional development, including professional supervision.
- Demonstrate experience to work in a team environment and follow set directions and plans to achieve desired outcomes.
- Must possess a current driver’s license.
- The ability to obtain a blue card and willing to undergo a criminal history check.
- Experience working within an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation or experience working within an Aboriginal community is an advantage.
