Case Manager – Domestic Violence Be Recruitment Company

JOB DESCRIPTION

Be. are currently seeking a Case Manager to specialise in Domestic Violence to join a reputable Not for Profit organisation located in South West Sydney. 

This organisation provides crisis accommodation, case management,
and support services to women and their children who have experienced and are escaping family or domestic violence. The role will use trauma-informed and client-centred principles to empower women and provide support. 

This is a permanent full-time opportunity (part-time (4 days) may also be considered). 

The role: 

  • Manage a caseload of clients with varying complex needs within the refuge and in an outreach setting
  • Develop a comprehensive case management plan with the client and assist clients in transitioning to safe living arrangements.
  • Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with a broad range of service providers, including but not limited to government agencies, private service providers, DVF-specific services, cultural and religious organisations and community groups.
  • Make appropriate referrals to outsource specific care needs as required.
  • Work with people from diverse cultures, religions, and community groups.

About you:

  • Formal qualification in Social Work, Human Services (Welfare), Community Development or related discipline and/or equivalent professional experience
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence
  • Current Working With Children Check and NSW Police Check clearance
  • Experience in working with families affect by DFV within a community services or residential setting
  • The ability to provide a flexible, trauma-informed and client-centred approach to service delivery
  • Knowledge of some of the specific issues facing migrants and people from CALD backgrounds who experience DFV.
  • The ability to speak a second language (other than English), is desirable but not essential
