Program Manager, Mental Health Supports TeamHEALTH

JOB DESCRIPTION

TeamHEALTH has become the leading not for profit provider of mental health services in the Top End of the Northern Territory. TeamHEALTH has provided outreach services, support and advocacy for Territorians with mental illness for over 30 years.

Reporting to the Executive Manager, Mental Health Supports, and operating under limited direction, the Program Manager will lead the establishment and development of operational practices within the designated Services that transforms TeamHEALTH’s processes and information to expand the provision of supports that provide increased early intervention approaches and opportunities of recovery for people who lives are severely affected by mental illness.  The range of supports may be provided over the phone, in people’s homes, in schools, centre based and in the community.

The Program Manager will work closely with relevant Team Leaders, Coordinators and staff to ensure that planning informs, streamlines and communicates the establishment and maintenance of efficient systems and processes to enable a range of recovery focused, strengths-based and culturally appropriate supports across the organisation.

Possessing a Tertiary level qualification in a mental health, social work, public health or related area and a minimum of two years experience in leadership the successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in the management and delivery of services to people with a mental illness and proven leadership skills with achieving outcomes through influence and by coaching and developing staff to ensure they perform and reach their full potential.

The successful applicant will be required to have a current National Police Certificate, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, Ochre Card, NT Driver’s Licence and completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
