About the role

The Student Wellbeing Coordinator promotes, supports, develops and organises student well-being and has primary responsibility for the individual case work management within the school.

• The Student Wellbeing Coordinator oversee the therapeutic support for students.
• The Student Wellbeing Coordinator holds primary responsibility for providing student wellbeing and intervention for students, assessing the level of support required through initial counselling, overseeing and providing clear pathways to external party referrals (e.g. health services, therapy services such as Psychologist, Medical referrals, etc) and ongoing supportive strategies for individual students.

What do I need for the role?

• Experience in providing counselling, therapeutic and Trauma Informed intervention, and case management for ‘at risk’ youth.
• Experience in managing student behaviour, including managing problematic behaviour of ‘at risk’ youth, and develop cooperative behaviour for future prevention.
• Diploma of counselling, community services or relevant discipline 
• Possession of valid Working with Children card (Blue Card)
• Open Driver’s licence
• Possession of a Working with Children card (Blue Card)
• Proven ability in working with First Nation youth and families.
• Demonstrate collaborative practices and a commitment to working as part of a team.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
