JOB DESCRIPTION

About the role

You are a qualified Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) Practitioner able to work with our team of highly skilled and dedicated practitioners providing FDR to separating couples by assisting to resolve issues in dispute such as parenting arrangements, property settlements and developing parenting plans. Your responsibilities include providing conflict resolution, parent education, a framework for negotiation, undertaking assessments and mediation, group work (as required), providing information, support, and referrals to match presenting needs to services and programs. 

The successful candidate will be providing Outreach FDR to Shepparton and Ballarat via a combination of phone, Zoom and Teams.

The position is full-time, and the successful candidate will be offered a fixed-term contract for 2 years, with the possibility of permanent employment during or thereafter.  We encourage applicants seeking part-time employment also to apply, as this role could be filled by two staff on a job-share basis. 

This role can be located at either one of our Family Relationship Centres located in Greensborough, Melbourne CBD or Berwick and will include one evening shift weekly. 

About you

  • Degree qualified in Social Work, Social Sciences, Family Law, and a Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution.
  • Accreditation as an FDRP with the Attorney-General’s Department and previous experience working as an FDRP (desirable)
  • Experience/or training in property mediation, able to undertake training (preferable)

The base salary range is $100k-$103k (pro-rata) per annum.
